To achieve the power of thought, the qualities of will power, freedom and steadiness should be developed. Steadiness and will power can be increased by a systematic psychic practice of meditation and freedom can be achieved by practising ‘detatched attachment’ through introspection and sublimation. We should know the realities of Nature and our method of living should be conducive to enlightenment. This is an effort of long perseverance. Generally the mind becomes weak by the accumulation of many desires that are not easy to fulfill and the temperamental moods such as anger, miserliness, worry and ignorance of the laws of Nature. When the mind is free of these difficulties and strengthened sufficiently, the power of thought will increase proportionately.
