United Nations Resolution for World Peace

To be presented to The United Nations By INDIA or by any member nation of U.N.O.

whereas,

1. Understanding that the nations and people of the world are interwoven by a common origin, habitat and destiny on this planet;

2. Realizing that the peace, welfare and security of all nations and persons is inevitably intertwined;

3. Desirous of evolving humankind beyond the state of internecine war and suffering that haunts history, to a more enlightened era of international relations;
4. Recognizing that profound respect for the unity of planet earth and the continuing sovereignty of all nations must be the cornerstones of this international evolution;

5. WE THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD HEREBY DECLARE THAT WAR IS PERMANENTLY OUTLAWED ON THIS PLANET, BY ENTRUSTING FULL POWER TO THE UNITED NATIONS TO ASSUME THE RESPONSIBILITY OF SAFEGUARDING THE BORDERS OF ALL NATIONS OF THE WORLD WITH THE HELP OF THE WORLD PEACE SERVICE CORPS.

ACCORDINGLY NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED TO

1. Cease immediately all armed hostilities among all nations;

2. Surrender all national defence personnel and weapons of war to the United Nations;

3. Reorganize the armed forces of the world under the authority of the United Nations as the World Peace Service Corps for the purposes of (1) providing medical, educa tional and technological services wherever and whenever required, especially in assisting the developing peoples and nations of the world; and, (2) safeguarding the integrity of the borders of all nations;

4. Assess a sufficient monetary allotment from each nation to maintain the World Peace Service Corps and to support these socioeconomic activities;

5. Create a world conflict resolution tribunal to adjudicate all disputes between nations;

6. Dedicate our collective will and our sacred honour to implement the objectives of this Resolution for World Peace.
