Water in the sea gets warmed up by the sunlight, becomes vapour, forms clouds and then by condensation comes down as rain and runs towards its source, the sea. Similarly, originating from divinity, the soul also functions through the various forms of life for many generations and finally reaches the stage of man and yearns for becoming one with divinity through its mind. The limited consciousness, wanders in search of the complete consciousness - the God. In such a stage of development, it gets involved with the body's needs of objects and sensory pleasures. It is in this place, the consciousness forgets its place of destination and relates itself with the object, people and sensory happiness to which it comes into contact with often and to get easy materialistic happiness, it increases its desire for power and fame, which are ways to get the same without proper effort.
How much ever one accumulates materials or fulfils ones sensory desires, or fame or power, the mind wants to get more of them in a better manner and thus functions in an emotional state. Because of this, one uses physical and mental faculties (Gnana and Karma) excessively, against the normal functioning which causes them to wear out. This results in body pain, mental disturbance and physical disability resulting in losing respect in the society and owing to all these shortcomings, the mind gets itself involved in worrying. Only by learning the virtues from the enlightened Guru's path and learning about the True explanation of the Divine, the deviated mind flow will come to the righteous action path and will get liberated from the chain of miseries. There is no other way that is possible for man.
