Value of Blessings

There may be cases where either the husband or the wife may be the object of public appreciation and popular acclaim by virtue of the position they occupy, their contribution to society etc. That husband or wife may feel that his or her life-partner should also join with the others in applauding him or her; and when such an appreciation is not forthcoming, he or she may feel dejected and misunderstood. This is not a correct attitude. When an individual becomes popular and famous, that individual’s life-partner has a right to feel proud about it; and there is nothing abnormal if he or she does not join with the popular acclaim and applause. Such an attitude infact, does not result from indifference or jealousy but from an identification with one’s life-partner, which is the outcome of a deep and abiding love.
