The concept of the philosophers in regard to the Universe is that it is one unit and the ethereal particles are the repulsive force while space is the attractive force.
Space presses everything together from the tiny basic unit to the greatest of stars. By this pressure everything rotates and moves according to the force and structure of the unit.
Attractive force is primordial and repulsive force came into being only subsequently. Whenever and wherever the repulsive force gets reduced, to that extent the attractive force becomes significant and effective.
