Relationship with the Almighty

      We worship god with the anticipation that he will give us something that we ask for. Such a concept is embedded within us either through the sayings of our forefathers or through our own readings. Our eagerness / desire to get something are inherent in such worship.

     But in a relationship, there is no such anticipation - there is nothing except togetherness. To get inter wined without expecting anything from each other is the hallmark of a relationship. To create such a relationship with the almighty is the only recourse for the human beings, to achieve the purpose of the life.

      Next, if we contemplate whether it is necessary to create a relationship with the almighty, it will dawn upon us NO NEED. Because, it is already there. When we realize this, we will also realize that even if we don't think of almighty, it is functioning in us - as consciousness, as life force, as our body. When such realization dawns upon oneself, there can never arise a thought that one is different from the almighty.
