We should analyze why we are not able to realize the nature and the true sense of our lives? and why are we unable to lead a peaceful and a measured life?
Let us consider an example. We go to the market, with an empty basket, to purchase vegetables. On the way we see varieties of flowers and fruits and we purchase them and fill our basket. When we enter the vegetable market and purchase the vegetables, we realize that there is no place to keep them - since our basket is already full!
What is our problem now - we are in a dilemma whether to throw away all those things in the basket and fill them with the vegetables purchased, the purpose for which we came to the market - or to return home with the fruits and flowers, without purchasing the vegetables, there by losing out on the purpose for which we came to the market. We ought to have had the firmness in our mind that we will purchase only the vegetables and nothing else, at the time when we left our home.
To achieve such firmness in each and every act of ours, and to realize the divine and to lead a virtuous knowledge in the light of consciousness so gained, is Yoga.
